| My work is done with watercolor, gouache, and sometimes dry-pigments on paper. The texture of the paper and the pigments react differently to the conditions at the time of the painting. The wet on wet process allows a randomness which when applying layers of paint creates an order… |

| BIOGRAPHY |

 |
I started in fine arts photography and after working with a series of paper negatives for about 9 years I slowly moved from painting on them to painting on glass and taking color paper negatives of the glass and finally moving into painting after a short stay in France. I first worked with geometrics, mixed media on paper using dry pastel, oil pastel, charcoal, gouache and watercolor. Returned to the States in the mid 80's and by the early 90's returned to Europe and after traveling for 6 months settled in Italy. Here the work moved to softer edges with watercolor and gouache incorporating a wet on wet process and later experimenting with dry pigments. I lived there for 12 years, painting until 2003. I now live and work in the U.S.
