BIOGRAPHY
Born March 5, 1974 in Norristown, Pennsylvania, I developed a fascination with art at childhood. In elementary and middle school, I spent much of my free time filling entire pages of my composition books with miniature, abstract drawings. Encouraged by my mother, I continued to draw and maintained my fascination throughout high school. I began to affectionately call my abstract drawings "asymetrics" due to my weakness with creating tilted and incongruent sketches. During my senior year in high school, my art instructor allowed me to experiment with several types of traditional and non-traditional media - including oils, guache, charcoal, airbrush and more. Through this experimentation, I acquired a much greater appreciation for the visual arts. Unfortunately, despite her genuine efforts to guide me towards what could possibly have been a successful art career, I stopped drawing - almost completely - after graduation. At the time, I saw no reward in art beyond the simple joy of personal expression. Now, more than twenty years later, my need for personal expression has resurfaced. I currently live in Austin, Texas. A city that is fertile and yet unsaturated enough for its emerging artists. Here, I hope to re-ignite that passion and further refine my expressions through my renewed sense of creativity.
